With beautiful, distinctive ruffled leaves that give this variety its name, Green Coral is a hybrid variety that works well in any salad, often as a complement to other lettuce varieties. Green Coral has a mild, sweet flavour that is often described as earthy or buttery. You may also hear it called Lollo Bionda lettuce and it also comes in a red variety.
Health benefits of Green Coral
Green Coral Lettuce is high in Vitamin A, folate, fibre, iron, beta-carotene (which is beneficial for eye health) and contains antioxidants. Green Coral tends to have more vitamin C, while Red Coral contains more vitamin K.
